Sew Seasonal: Beginning with a giveaway!

Sew Seasonal Blog Hop

Kristy at Quiet Play and myself are super excited to welcome you to the Sew Seasonal blog hop!! We've been busy bees designing some Christmas block patterns. Kristy has designed 13 paper pieced blocks, and I've designed Ornamental - 12 rotary cut, machine pieced Christmas ornaments! Together, that makes 25 Christmassy blocks to mix and match and use as you please to create all kinds of Christmassy goodies!

We have 23 other fantastic bloggers lined up to showcase each of the blocks used in different ways to inspire your own creations.

1st November: Kristy from Quiet Play & Alyce from Blossom Heart Quilts
2nd November: Marieka from Bespoke Bites & Jane from Where Jane Creates
3rd November: Susan from Patchwork N Play & Kelsey from Kelsey Sews

30th November: Link up to win!

For the duration of the blog hop (until November 13th) our patterns will be free for you to download from our Craftsy stores: Kristy's paper piecing patterns and Ornamental. Link up on November 30 with your own finished products using our patterns and be in the chance to win some fantastic prizes. There's a second chance to win prizes by joining the Sew Seasonal Flickr Group and sharing photos of your blocks as you go! Thanks to our sponsors!

Oh, and that amazing Joy fat quarter bundle and panel from Intrepid Thread? Kate Spain herself will be selecting the lucky winner of that as the Grand Prize!! Is that enough incentive to join in?

Plus, are you needing some Christmas fabric supplies for the hop, or just your stash in general? Well, Chrissy from Sew Lux Fabrics has set up a special discount code on Christmas fabrics in her shop! So if you need supplies, be sure to check it out. The code is "sewseasonal10" and is for 10% off all Christmas fabric (Joy, Blitzen, and Sentiments) through November 18th. A charm pack or layer cake will work perfectly for Ornamental!

Don't forget to join the Flickr group and grab the button to spread the news!

Blossom Heart Quilts

Phew, right, now onto today's block!

I am involved in a Secret Santa Swap hosted by Kara at Me And Elna, and it just so happened that Vintage Modern met the colours liked by my SS.

Ornamental block

Add that with Sew Seasonal blog hop and a request for something for her kitchen, and you get a table runner using 3 of the Ornamental blocks made in the 10" size!

Ornamental Table Runner

I had even just taken delivery of 2 yards of Bella Porcelain to use with my Fat Quarter Shop Designer BOM quilt, so I cut off a few little strips to sash the blocks. The Little Apples print was the perfect backing and a grey and white spots for the binding framed it all neatly.

Ornamental Table Runner

And to start off the Sew Seasonal blog hop with a bang, the Fat Quarter Shop has offered up giveaways! Here I have for you a Blitzen layer cake - Ornamental is charm pack and layer cake friendly, so this is the perfect giveaway! And Kristy has a FQS gift certificate on offer.
We're using Rafflecopter again as there were no complaints last time and it's nice and easy for us all to use! Remember, I need a way to contact you should you be the lucky winner!
